| Contents | The Board of Directors of KKB Engineering Berhad (“KKB”) wishes to announce that Harum Bidang Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of KKB, has been issued a Letter of Award by CMS Infra Trading Sdn Bhd (“CMSIT”) for the Supply & Delivery of Various Concrete-Lined Mild Steel Pipes & Mild Steel Mechanical Couplings (the “Award”) on an “As And When Required” Basis. The time for completion of the Award is twenty four (24) months with effect from 1 September 2010 to 31 August 2012. This contract is worth an estimated sum of RM114 million. A written Agreement will be entered into between Harum Bidang Sdn Bhd and CMS Infra Trading Sdn Bhd in due course. Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad (“CMSB”) is a major shareholder of KKB. CMSIT is a subsidiary of CMSB and accordingly, CMSB is deemed interested in the award. Datuk Syed Ahmad Alwee Alsree and Encik Syed Hizam Bin Syed Mahmood Ezzularab Abdul-Moez Alsagoff are both Directors of KKB. Datuk Syed Ahmad Alwee Alsree is also a Director of CMSB and both Datuk Syed Ahmad Alwee Alsree and Encik Syed Hizam Bin Syed Mahmood Ezzularab Abdul-Moez Alsagoff are the nominees of CMSB and persons connected with CMSB and accordingly, they are deemed interested in the award. Apart from the above, none of the other Directors, major shareholders and persons connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect in the above award. The Board, having duly considered all aspects of the above award, is of the opinion that the above award is in the best interest of KKB and its group of companies. The award is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of KKB Group for the financial years ending 31 December 2011 to 2012. This announcement is dated 30 August 2010 |
