Subject ANNOUNCEMENT ON LETTER OF INTENT

The Board of KKB Engineering Berhad ("KKB") is pleased to notify the Exchange that a Letter of Intent dated 29 January 2003 has been received from ExxonMobil Petroleum & Chemical for the Manufacture, Supply and Delivery of ExxonMobil's 14kg & 50kg LP-Gas Cylinders for Malaysia for a period of three (3) years effective 1 February 2003 to 31 January 2006 (with a possible extension of one (1) year at ExxonMobil's option).


The total contract sum is estimated to be approximately RM26.4 million (Ringgit Malaysia Twenty-Six Million and Four Hundred Thousand only).

The Board of Directors of KKB would like to inform that none of the Directors, substantial shareholders and persons connected to them have any interest in the above award. The Board is of the opinion that the above award is in the best interest of KKB and its group of companies.
