Subject ANNOUNCEMENT ON AWARD OF CONTRACT

The Board of Directors of KKB Engineering Berhad is pleased to announce that a Letter of Acceptance dated 9 February 2002 has been extended to the Company by Kuching Water Board for the supply, delivery, laying and commissioning of the Proposed 1400mm Diameter Steel Pipeline from Batu Kitang Treatment Plant to Jalan Batu Kitang/Jalan Penrissen Junction, Kuching.


The contract sum of the award is approximately RM7.2 million (Ringgit Malaysia Seven Million Two Hundred Thousand only) and completion period of the contract is approximately fourteen (14) months.

The Board of Directors of KKB would also like to announce that none of the Directors, substantial shareholders and persons connected to them have any interest in the above award. The Board is of the opinion that the above award is in the best interest of KKB and its group of companies.
