The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the Company has on 30 November 1999 acquired 25,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each representing the entire issued and paid-up share capital of Optima Line Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (Optima) for a total consideration of RM1,250,000 in cash and that Optima is now wholly-owned by the Company. Optima was incorporated on 23 July 1997 and is presently a property holding company.

Optima owns a piece of land with an area of 1.024 hectares at Sejingkat Industrial Park, Kuching, Sarawak and the Directors intend to use it for manufacturing purposes. The net book value of the land as at 4 December 1999 is RM1,250,000.

None of the Directors, substantial shareholders of the Company or persons connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the above acquisition.
