Announcement on Letter of Award

The Board of Directors of KKB Engineering Berhad (“KKB”) wishes to announce that KKB has on 27 December 2012 accepted a Letter of Award for the Supply, Fabrication, Delivery and Erection of Structural Steelworks for Corridor Roof Structure for the Proposed University College of Technology Sarawak & Technology Park on Part of Lots 452, 456, 458 & 645 and Lot 868 Block 1, Sungai Merah Land District, Sibu from Hock Peng Furniture & General Contractor Sdn Bhd. (Subcontract No: HPFK/KUTS/CORRIDOR ROOF/KKB/12/10900028).
The total estimated value for the abovementioned subcontract is approximately RM10,300,000 (Ringgit Malaysia: Ten Million and Three Hundred Thousand Only) and subject to Commencement Date to be agreed upon, duration for completion is estimated to be five (5) months. To the best of our knowledge, none of the Directors and major shareholders or person connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect in the above Letter of Award. The Board of KKB, having duly considered all aspects of the above contract, is of the opinion that the above subcontract is the best interest of KKB and its group of companies. The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of KKB. This announcement is dated 27 December 2012. |
