The Board of Directors of KKB Engineering Berhad (“KKB”) wishes to announce that KKB has received a Letter of Acceptance from the Government of Sarawak on 13 August 2012 for the "Proposed Transmission Pipeline to Sama Jaya Free Industrial Zone, Kuching Division, Sarawak ("the Contract")" for a contract sum of Ringgit Malaysia Forty-Eight Million only (RM48,000,000.00). The time of completion for the above contract shall be twenty-four (24) months and the works under the contract is scheduled to be completed within the third quarter of year 2014, subject to the terms and conditions to be agreed upon between the Government of Sarawak and KKB. The above contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the Group for the financial years ending 31 December 2012 to 31 December 2014. None of the Directors or major shareholders or persons connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the above contract. The Board is of the opinion that the above contract is in the best interest of KKB and its group of companies. This announcement is dated 14 August 2012. |
