The Board of Directors (“Board’) of KKB Engineering Berhad (“KKB”) wishes to announce that its subsidiary, Harum Bidang Sdn. Bhd. (“HBSB”) has on 28 November 2013 accepted an award for Additional Supply Order of Mild Steel Pipes (Polyurethane Lined) and Pipe Specials by CMS Infra Trading Sdn. Bhd. (“CMSIT”) (for the Proposed Construction & Completion of Tanjung Manis Water Supply Project (Phase 1) Sarawak) with an estimated contract sum of Ringgit Malaysia Two Hundred and Twenty Seven Million only (RM227 million) on an “As and When Required” basis.

The completion date of this additional Supply Order is expected to be in May 2015.

Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad (“CMSB”) is a major shareholder of KKB. CMSIT is a subsidiary of CMSB and accordingly, CMSB is deemed interested in the abovementioned award. Datuk Syed Ahmad Bin Alwee Alsree and Encik Syed Hizam Bin Syed Mahmood Ezzularab Abdul-Moez Alsagoff are both Directors of KKB. Datuk Syed Ahmad Bin Alwee Alsree is also a Director of CMSB and both Datuk Syed Ahmad Bin Alwee Alsree and Encik Syed Hizam Bin Syed Mahmood Ezzularab Abdul-Moez Alsagoff are persons connected with CMSB. Accordingly, they are deemed interested in the abovementioned award.

KKB has obtained the shareholders mandate at its Annual General Meeting held on 9 May 2013. Immediate announcement will be made to the Exchange when the actual value of the transaction exceeds the estimated value as disclosed in the circular to shareholders by 10% or more.

Save as disclosed above, none of the other Directors or major shareholders of KKB or persons connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the abovementioned award. The Board is of the opinion that the abovementioned award is in the best interest of KKB and its group of companies.

The above Supply Order is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of KKB Group for the financial years ending 31 December 2013 to 31 December 2015.
