The Board of Directors of KKB Engineering Berhad (“KKB”) wishes to announce that KKB has on 12 February 2013 acknowledged a Letter of Award from CONSORTIUM of APEX ENERGY SDN BHD and PT REKAYASA INDUSTRI of 14th Floor, Menara Hap Seng, Jalan P. Ramlee, Kuala Lumpur, as Sub-Contractor for the Supply and Fabrication of Steel Structures Package 3 for the SAMUR Project, Sabah. The total contract sum is worth Ringgit Malaysia Thirty Two Million and Eight Hundred Thousand Only (RM32.8 Million). The Sub-Contract is scheduled to be completed within fourteen (14) months from commencement date and subject to a Formal Contract to be entered into between both parties in due course. To the best of our knowledge, none of the Directors and major shareholders or person connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect in the above Letter of Award. The Board of KKB, having duly considered all aspects of the above contract, is of the opinion that the above subcontract is in the best interest of KKB and its group of companies. The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of KKB for the year ending 2013. This announcement is dated 13 February 2013. |
